Overview
Context: A growth-focused distributor of consumer electronics in Mumbai operated across six regional hubs. They faced fragmented order flows, manual data entry, and limited real-time visibility into stock, pricing, and delivery status. With a growing network of retailers and a shrinking IT budget, the company needed a single, browser-based web app accessible to partners and internal teams to reduce cycle times and errors. Delivery: Our team designed and built a modular web app in four months using a microservices backbone (Spring Boot backend, React frontend) with APIs connecting ERP, CRM, and logistics. We delivered a distributor-facing portal and an internal admin console, both multi-tenant and mobile-friendly. The cloud deployment enabled auto-scaling and high availability, while a structured rollout and guided onboarding ensured quick adoption. Training was concise, with in-app tours and role-based access to simplify use for field staff, sales teams, and warehouse operators. Results: Onboarding time dropped from 10–14 days to 2 days; order cycle time improved 30–40% and order accuracy rose by 15–20%. IT OPEX fell about 28%, while uptime exceeded 99.9%. The client gained real-time inventory visibility, reduced invoice disputes, and launched new promotions faster. The solution delivered a clear ROI curve, with payback within nine months and a platform ready for regional expansion across India.
